It is dark, the twilight
before the dawn of a new day. But not for the four lives
that are about to converge at an empty crossroads, for
they head toward darkness and oblivion. Our strangers
approach from separate directions; they share nothing
in common except a wish to never see the morning light.
Their courses are set and the cogs are fixed in motion
when we meet them. Kostya, a middle aged artist is walking
on the road, looking for a tree upon which to hang himself.
Natalie, a middle aged CEO is sitting in her car preparing
to drive with eyes shut tight. And Anton, the blind
boy together with his white Shepard is about to make
a daring run across the road. They can not know that
the violence they dispense upon themselves leads to
an accident; a collision that by its force and nature
irrevocably changes their destinies. In the darkness
where everything is lost to abandon, a new light appears.
Though all seems hollow within, each of them retains
a gift intended for a stranger. In an instant their
lives regain a sense of purpose for someone they have
never met. It is a picturesque journey from darkness
to light, a story about awakening and finding hope on
the brink of a new day.
